TRAVEL
My first experience abroad was in June in 2014, where I went on a mission trip with my church to Panama. This experience showed me the importance of serving others around the world and supporting those who work full time to serve others.
Throughout high school and college I was fortunate enough to travel to Hawaii and California.
At the beginning of 2017 I had the opportunity to study abroad in India for five months. During my time abroad I was able to gain a new sense of independency, took the initiative to learn how to get around a foreign city and adapted to living and learning in a new culture. This experience has taught me the importance of taking the initiative to accomplish goals both personally and professionally. Living on my own I developed a sense of inner confidence in who I am and the decisions I make. I was able to plan a trip with my roommate to one of the destinations on my bucket list, Phuket Thailand.
In May of 2018 I accepted a position with Camp America, a cultural exchange program for international young adults all over the world. Through Camp America participants are able to work at various camps all over the United States for the summer. Taking this position only solidified my passion to work with for a company that serves on a global level. I was able to meet international participants from all over the globe through this job and would like to pursue a career that allows me to work nationally in international education.
