Boston Day Trip

I flew out of MSP before the sun rose and landed in Boston before 10:00am.

This last minute trip to Boston was all thanks to JetBlue who had a reasonably priced round-trip flight for a Saturday day-trip across the country.

HARVARD

Of course being in Boston, seeing the oldest American university was a must-do! Cambridge is a short cab ride from the airport. Harvard University was absolutely beautiful in the fall. Make sure to checkout the Harvard Square, lots of shops and places to eat.

FANUEIL HALL MARKETPLACE

Fanueil Hall Marketplace is filled with places to eat + shop. You can find anything you're craving! From fresh sushi and cookies to Italian and burgers. Anyone can find something they enjoy while strolling the shops of the market.

BOSTON PUBLIC GARDENS

Take a break from the bustling city and stroll through the Boston Public Gardens. The park has a pond (yes there were swans) and numerous plants, especially beautiful in the fall.

THE HARBOR

Boston was a special trip because I was reunited with my roommate, Jalyssa from my semester studying in India. For five months Jalyssa and I traveled around India and Thailand experiencing so many beautiful places together. It was quite the adventure and so many memories were made from visiting the Taj Mahal, riding an elephant, driving scooters in Phuket and snorkeling in the Phi Phi Islands. We did a lot in those five months, so being reunited and having her show us around her backyard was so fun!

MODERN + TRADITIONAL

Boston does modern + traditional well. It's a mix of new buildings with old, New England style architecture and cobble stone streets with a few tall/modern buildings too. The best part of the day was that we were able to walk everywhere around the city!

Another experience crossed off the bucket list: a day trip!

the best is to come
